An 11.9-point SNP-Conservative swing widened the SNP's lead from 859 votes in 2024 to 5,178 votes in this by-election. Labour's vote share fell 18 points. Reform UK's vote share more than doubled, up 9.6 points. Turnout fell from 58.15% in 2024 to 31.35%.
