Result - declared 19 June 2026 Lara Bird wins Arbroath and Broughty Ferry for the SNP. Bird (SNP) 41.1% (9,802), Cruickshanks (Con) 19.4% (4,624), Reid (Reform UK) 18.2% (4,341), Doran (Lab) 15.3% (3,651), Ahmad (LD) 6.1% (1,452). Turnout 31.35% (23,870 valid votes). SNP majority 5,178 votes (21.7pp).

Change vs 2024 General Election

An 11.9-point SNP-Conservative swing widened the SNP's lead from 859 votes in 2024 to 5,178 votes in this by-election. Labour's vote share fell 18 points. Reform UK's vote share more than doubled, up 9.6 points. Turnout fell from 58.15% in 2024 to 31.35%.
